MMATS PRO AUDIO

Proudly announces the release of our

HD4000 Competition Amplifier

After several months of testing and tuning we have released a true 4000 Wrms competitor only amplifier. “Back in the day” (1998, 1999 and 2000) we dominated the DB Drag circuit as well as “Death Match” with our Modified D300HC Competition Only amplifier. Its popularity is still strong today even though it has been discontinued for over 7 years.  In its stock form the D300HC put out about 1200 watts and modifying it increased it to about 1800 watts. This was “BIG” power back then and is still considered strong today. However, times have changed and so has the demand for even bigger power.

Since 2001, we have not been involved in the SPL competition circles. But in the last Quarter of 2007 we decided to make a splash at the USACI Finals in Omaha, Nebraska.  With the help of team leaders Bill Gass from Stereo West Auto Toys and Mark Hill from Cartunes & Security and their competitors, we were able to bring home 3 First Place trophies, several Second Place trophies as well as an assortment of Third & Fourth Place finishes.  These were the results that we were looking for and they were made with the D3500.05 1/2 ohm stable amplifier.  Therefore, the push was made to produce a more powerful amplifier for the classes that do not have wattage restrictions.

Now for the nuts and bolts...

What does it take to create an HD4000?

First we started out with a total redesign of the Class D input section. We gave the amp a 150 volt rail as opposed to our standard 80 volt rail. But, simply raising the rail voltage is not enough. The switching of the power supply had to be adjusted as well as the protection circuit and transformer ratios. The output section also needed to be beefed up with higher voltage/amperage MOSFETS to handle the substantial increase in power.

The results:

4000 watts of Pure Sine Wave POWER from only 13.8 volts of battery power and an Efficiency of 76% at full power! This level of efficiency is a HUGE factor because many of the street classes limit the amount of batteries you can have or add to your system.

Big power in a single chassis! You don’t need to “stack” amplifiers to get the power you need.  The HD4000 measures only 13 Inches in length; not much bigger than a sheet of paper…

Absolutely the smallest amplifier on the market producing 4,000 Wrms at 13.8 Volts.

NEWS FLASH !!

As of February 1st, 2008 the new rule changes in DB Drags makes the HD4000 a top contender.

How to get it:

This is the million dollar question. To qualify, you have to have a history and reputation in one of the sanctioned bodies (USACI, DB Drags, IASCA, MECA or NSPL). Then, just simply call us at 561-842-0600 and we will go over the details with you. Good luck to all of the competitors in the 2008 season and we hope to see you in the lanes.
